That crack when you break into the shell is so satisfying, and the cookie bits throughout the chocolate give it this buttery texture that’s hard to stop eating. I got one for Easter brunch and it was gone before the ham even came out.
The hand-poured shell has such a lovely snap to it, and the cookie bits add a nice buttery crunch that melts right along with the chocolate. I was honestly surprised by how big it is, so it's been perfect for sharing (or not).
Broke off a chunk for my afternoon coffee and the cookie bits were scattered throughout the shell, not just on top. That hand-poured molten chocolate melts slow enough to actually savor, and the buttery cookie crunch makes it dangerously easy to finish the whole egg in two sittings.
